The purpose of this blog is to act as a photographers diary recording the great yachts and yachting regattas seen around the Isle of Wight each year.

My first image records the 100 foot Maxis Rambler and Ocean Leopard as they beat out past Hurst Castle at the start of the 2011 Fastnet Race.

Ocean Leopard designed by Farr was built for Mike Slade and launched in 2007. Amongst the many records she holds is the Round the Island. Sponsered by ICAP she underwent a full interior revamp and is to be used in 2012 for charter in both the Solent and the Caribbean.
